Version Change

Given the amount of work that I've put into the code so far and how much it differs now from where I originally started, I have bumped the version up from 0.1 to 0.2. That marks it as a 'stable' version...though still Beta because we're pre-1.0. I don't know if I'm going to get to the point anytime soon where I have a third branch on the version number for builds...but I might get there. I will see if there's a way that I can post the code somewhere publicly without having to go to Sourceforge or something like that. I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of exposure just yet.

I was just thinking about that too. I find that a few basic tools are a huge help to all sorts of endeavors.

* CVS/SVN respository
* bug/enhancement tracker
* wiki/CMS

I've downloaded items from sourceforge, but never tried to run a project from there, so I don't know how well it works. I do know, however, that I hate their forums.

My current wiki and ticket products, by a company named Atlassian, do have open-source licenses... however I can't see any hosted options.

If I find any, I'll make sure to pass them along.

I really want to do an svn, but a) it's not my server, and b) I've only ever used CVS before. So...dunno. A wiki would be good too. I could move the blog to the wiki, but again....not my server. Temptation, temptation.

Well, it is a pain.. but how many posts is it? 12 now? Is that worse then when it's 100?

I spent a chunk of the evening looking for places that host projects. I've not been impressed with the results. I think I'll need to hook into some perl sites again to see where they host their projects.
